What Is A Slow Motion Camera?

A slow motion camera is a specialized device designed to capture images at a much higher frame rate than the standard playback speed, allowing filmmakers and creators to produce stunning slow motion effects.

This technology enables the recording of fast-moving subjects in great detail, as the camera takes numerous still frames per second. When these frames are played back at a normal speed—typically 24 frames per second—the action appears to unfold more slowly, providing a dramatic and visually captivating effect.

For instance, our high-speed camera can shoot at speeds of up to 10,860 frames per second. In comparison, traditional film runs at 24 frames per second. By recording at this elevated frame rate, filmmakers can capture intricate movements, such as a ball being struck or a bird taking flight, and then watch them unfold in mesmerizing slow motion.

Similar to its counterpart, the BW-CAM-1K supports 12-bit depth and provides robust connectivity options, including Gigabit Standard Ethernet and RJ-45 ports, as well as video outputs via 3G-SDI and HDMI. It also comes with 72GB of RAM, ensuring seamless performance in any situation.

The new Class 3 power supply is designed to meet rigorous RFI/EMI and environmental requirements found in military and civilian aviation and marine applications. Tested to DO-160G EMI/RFI and environmental requirements. Bad Wolf Tech hoist and lift camera installs on a Sikorsky S92 helicopters without a need to change the existing camera mount or camera wiring harness.
